Water-based polyurethane dispersions : what they are

Water-based polyurethanes are products that use water as a solvent and therefore are cleaner and safer than the now classic and widespread solvent-based polyurethane dispersions. Aqueous polyurethane paints according to the synthesis of monomers can be divided into polyether based, polyester based. And depending on the type of diisocyanates used for their production in aliphatics or aromatics.
They can be used, for example, as finishing or laminating for many and different materials (leather, paper, synthetic fibers, etc.). Polyurethane dispersions can form soft, rigid, opaque, transparent, glossy films, etc; the characteristics that can be attributed to it in the synthesis phase are truly manifold.
